“The opposite of love is fear, but what is all-encompassing can have no opposite.”- (ACIM, T-in.1:8)

Did Ya Know is inspired by the above quote and is the first release of Rev. Yolanda’s 10th studio album. This song is dedicated to and in response to the passing of my dear husband Rev. Glen Morton Ganaway. Soon after Glen passed, I moved to Vermont, and the felon was elected to the highest office in the land. I felt like I had been dealt a 1-2 punch in the face. I was alone in a new place without my main emotional support system, and a convicted criminal running the country. I felt afraid, very alone, and without purpose. I didn't think singing my songs was important to do. I knew I needed emotional support, so I joined a morning online prayer circle with my church Awakening-Together, I joined a bereavement group in Brattleboro VT with The Center for Solace, and I heard “The Voice That Likes Me” say “ sing like your life depends on it”, and it did.

I formed a new band with Freddy, Jay and Tyler- The Circle of Love Band, I found a local group of creatives -artists, musicians, theater folks, and I found producer Kimberly Shires who created Hear Me Roar Studio as a space for women and non-binary artists to be empowered, comfortable and not only be heard but understood. I began to come back to life. I began to understand the healing power of a loving community. I have written 10 new songs of empowerment for ALL of us in 2026 which I am recording with Kimberly for a new album. “Did Ya Know” is the first of those 10 songs. I truly pray that “Did Ya Know” brings a bit of LIGHT to you, as you remember that Love is all encompassing.
